I remember your splendor warm days ago When all about you the air gleamed a golden glow Beamed by your lover leaning low To catch the patchwork kisses You reached to bestow. Now branches bereft of your billets doux Strewn insouciant a, foot in gaudy hue Inscribed your silhouette stark against the wintry sky. Awaiting the awakening....... you and I.
